April 2003: I changed my mind.

It took a four hour conversation over the internet about the Biblical definition of submission, but I did change my mind about Marc!

Thank God! 

We started spending a lot of time talking on the internet (that sounds so creepy, but I promise, it wasn't!).  

We hung out a lot that summer, and I went back to college with a boyfriend.  

I was sure the long distance thing wouldn't last, but it did!  

Marc called my dad and asked permission to visit me.  That was so honorable!  I loved it!  

We got engaged the next summer (2004) on the dock of a pond behind Marc's house.  There were candles and roses and lilies.  It was perfect.
