April 2011: Will diagnosed with TTS

I will never forget April 7, 2011.

We ate blue pancakes.

Will burned his finger helping me flip.

We went to Columbus to see a neurologist, who diagnosed Will with Transient Tic Syndrome.

Afterwards, we went to Indian Caverns.  Will bought a green wooden snake as a souvenir.

Later, Will's diagnosis would be upgraded to Tourette's Syndrome.

(Will, right after his diagnosis)

In order to find and avoid triggers to Will's tics, we were encouraged to journal, and it was through this journaling that I was confronted with my lack of involvement in the lives of my children.  It was through that realization that God strengthened my desire to fulfill my Biblical role as mother.

(Oh, how sweet this face has become!)

I had ingrained selfish behaviors into my heart so deeply that it would be another year and a half before I would finally yield my selfish ways to his plans and purposes for my life.

Romans 6:13  Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
