Collier Family Adoption Update:

June 2010: Mike born

He was five days late, even though the doctors were certain he would be three weeks early.  In typical Michael fashion, he took his time, and wasn't really in a hurry to make things happen.

He was strong from day one; he grabbed the washcloth out of the doctor's hand and wouldn't give it back.  He had rolls and rolls and rolls everywhere.  He failed his hearing the first two times; he passed with flying colors the third time...according to the nurses, he was just lazy.  Ah, Michael, Michael, Michael!  How blessed we are to have him in our lives!

1 Samuel 1:27  I asked the LORD to give me this boy, and he has granted my request.

We were so in love with our two boys, but after two incredibly difficult pregnancies, we were not eager to add more through biological means.  We began to talk about adding through adoption.

We made two things clear:  we would not add any children older than our current children, AND we would never consider special needs.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD
“They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
