Collier Family Adoption Update:

HOME!!!!!!

May 3, 2014: God's Will, God's Bill

It was a Saturday morning.  After Marc's confusing behavior of the night before, I was even more intrigued when he came into the living room where the boys and I were playing games and asked me to come back to the bedroom so that we could talk.

What was going on?

He explained to me that he had something super important to tell me.

He had struggled with proceeding with adopting the girls because, even though at every turn we seemed to be confronted with it, the finances just didn't add up.  And he couldn't put his family at risk.
Yet he couldn't just quit the idea, either, because every time he tried, every Bible verse, every song on the radio, every sermon, every word of encouragement from fellow Christians seemed to point to God calling us to go through with the adoption.

It was a constant war.

Then, he heard a sermon on the radio by a rugby playing dude with a Scottish accent, and it all made sense.  If it was God's Will, God would pay the bill.

Simple as that.

It made sense to him, now.  And he was ready to seriously consider and commit to the girls, once we settled on a house and made an offer.

I cannot express what it was like to watch God work in my husband's life and speak to his heart!  It took me shutting up and getting out of the way, and when I did, WOW!  God just moved and moved and moved!  It was BEAUTIFUL!

Matthew 6:25-27   “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?  Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
