October 21, 2014: An Officer and a Gentleman!

WE HAVE AN OFFICER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USCIS.

United States Immigration.

They had until November 17 to assign us one, but we got one TODAY!

She should call this afternoon to talk about our case.

Guys, this is a BIG DEAL!  This is THE NEXT STEP!

Woo hoo!  We are getting so much closer!!!!!!!!

Exodus 14:13-14  But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again.  The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

And the gentleman...

That would be my husband.

One morning, long before we had committed to our girls, my friend Jenny Nolan posted this video.

Marc and I sat on our bed and he held me as I wept for our girls.  I wanted them to be queens.  I decided to change my favorite color to purple.

Yesterday, a package came in the mail.

Two purple bathrobes that my husband wanted our girls to have.

Their own royal robes.

Because we are claiming them.  We are claiming them as Colliers.  We are claiming their hearts.  We are working to capture their hearts and shepherd them toward Christ.  And we firmly believe that we are doing this to honor the call God has put on our hearts.  We believe that they will one day be daughters of the King!

Thank you, my gentleman of a husband.

Romans 8:15  For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!"
