September 12, 2014: Fingerprints!

So, on Wednesday of this week,  I was talking to my BA-hemian friend, Erika, who is from the Bahamas but does not have a weed habit or wear dreads (the correct way to spell the word because every mother dreads the day her child will have them, except for me, because I actually think they would look super awesome on Michael, but Marc would kill me) and anyways, she was like,

"Becky!  Guess what!  I get my USCIS fingerprints done in Charlotte on Friday!"

And I'm all, "Cool!  Wish Marc and I could go with you!"

And she's all like, "Why can't you!"

And I say, "Because we don't have our papers yet! They would have to come tomorrow."

And BAM!  I find out that I need to just trust God because on Thursday, our papers came in the mail!

So off to Charlotte we went for our Biometrics appointment which was seriously the most easy thing in the world.

Which means our USCIS fingerprints are done, and we just have to wait to be assigned an officer.  We'll start  I'll start calling USCIS on Monday to ask for an officer.

Not that my husband wouldn't.  But the paperwork stuff has been my job.

(And I secretly love it.  But please don't tell Nancy Cunningham Thornell.  I don't want her sending me more.)

So here was my face on Thursday when I got the paperwork from USCIS:

(That's my MOMS friend, Carolyn McMurray!)

Psalm 115:12-18:  The Lord remembers us and will bless us.  He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron.  he will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly.  May the Lord richly bless both you and your children.  may you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.  The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity.  The dead cannot sing praises to the Lord, for they have gone into the silence of the grave.  But we can praise the Lord both now and forever!  Praise the Lord!
