Collier Family Adoption Update

Collier Family Adoption Update:

HOME!!!!!!

September 2-6, 2014: STUFF STUFF STUFF!

It's HERE!  It's all HERE!

Our Home Study arrived Tuesday.  We sent it overnight to USCIS on Tuesday.

Marc's medical paperwork was finished and approved on Wednesday, as well as a medical expedite letter for USCIS.  We mailed the expedite letter on Wednesday.

Our tall stack of dossier paperwork that needed redone was notarized and approved on Wednesday.

Our marriage certificates and first sent of agency certificates came Friday.

Our last set of agency certificates and FBI fingerprints (the 1,453rd set) came Saturday!

It is all HERE!

(Look at the DONE column!  Woo hoo!)

I am in the process of scanning the last of the documents to send to NANCY, the woman with the magic YES word in her possession, and when it is approved I will stuff these envelopes and send them off to apostille-land!  I still don't know how to say that word.

(The ambassadors of adoption:  manilla envelopes.  I have 4 left out of a VERY LARGE pack!)

When they return from the deep dark hole of State Authentication, then we will send them to the U place.

I will try to see if I can accurately communicate the enormity of this.

Adoption Pregnancy:

1st Trimester:  Homestudy - DONE!

2nd Trimester:  USCIS - Begun!

(Only one more thing we're waiting to receive!  USCIS APPROVAL  Yes!)

3rd Trimester:  Dossier -  When all docs are apostilled, we will only need our USCIS approval to be finished with the dossier!  So we are really really close to being almost 66% done!

(This is our big fat book of everything.)

If you don't count travel.

And court.

And Gotcha Day.

And flight home.

And...you know...raising them.

But still!

This is TOTALLY AWESOME!

(The boys are really excited.)

Isaiah 35:2  Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glorythe splendor of our God.

Psalm 108:5  Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.
